DEAR PHOTO
Dear "Dear Photo",
the worst part about completing you was the fact that I DO NOT have photos. I havent fallen into the instagram pit or the black hole of facebook. I do not have more than maybe 2 pictures of my childhood that arent locked in a box 500 miles away. Even more unfortunate, none of those pictures are of me. With that being said i must say, you have taught me to start taking more pictures.

ARTIST STATEMENT---
This is a video based off of Shelly Silver's 1987 art film "Getting in" about the strange combination of real estate and sex. i reinterpreted it to mean the rush you get from sex as compared to the rush of getting somewhere in your world. i chose to start the film out slowly and speed it up to represent ones own heart rate and lack of absorption of outside situations during sex. while the viewer sees the car drive, what is easy to make out in the beginning becomes blurred as the sexual energy increases.
